Urban Interface - Task Force. These three trucks, Brush 4 (center), Engine 42 (left), and Tanker 42 (right) are combined to form a task force for fighting fires where houses and woodland are in the same environment, creating difficult fire fighting situations. By combining these resources, we can supply water, protect structures, and fight forest fires at the same time. The problem of "Urban Interface" has become one of our highest priorities in the past ten years due to the increased development of steep and remote areas in Western North Carolina. |
